Web Design
My role at Vapouriz is to design for, maintain and monitor vapestore.co.uk using analytical data. With a small team and as the sole web and UX designer, we were able to implement strategies that have seen the fortunes of the site increase exponentially. Improved usability, mobile site and delivery options along with a greater range of pricing, we have been able to increase sales whilst being constrained by tobacco laws not allowing us to have our own app. Taking influences from a PWA, I have designed a better and more engaging experience through the mobile site, through which 86% of our traffic comes.
UX Research and Findings
I conducted remote UX interviews on mobile platforms with our customers to see how they found our website. I was then able to collate some findings in a results document that highlighted pain points in specific journeys relatable to the business requirements. If necessary, I also do some competitor analysis to see if there is a common pattern that can be identified and if this can be useful to our customers. The findings are then shared with managers and shareholders before proceeding to the design phase.
Wireframes and Prototypes
Through the research conducted from both quantative and qualititve methods, I will then create wireframes and prototypes of how the user journey should be followed. These prototypes can then be tested before going to the development team to implement.
Style Guide
A comprehensive guide is being created that stores all design elements and rules for the website.

A re-brand exercise was undertaken in which my design was shortlisted for the top two concepts created.

Overview. Web design and UI of sublimebodymind.com
The sublime pilates site was not repsonsive, broken in places and too many pages that made it difficult to find information most relevant to users. The branding and site colours were also dated so these were addressed. Outcome: site is now responsive, quicker page loads and increase in traffic.

Website Design and Build

Once I had finished building this in Bootstrap, I was then able to implement it into Wordpress via a custom theme build. This website showcases the acting, singing and fight co-ordination of the actress, profiling samples of her movies, theatre productions, fight co-ordination pieces and sound files along with her extensive CVs all in a responsive format. The site incorporates a left hand side navigation due to the amount of items she required and a professional identity that stood her apart from the crowd.

I was also tasked with creating a corporate identity for Kaitlin. She wanted a professional, corporate look with a setif font, with a strapline that showcased all of her disciplines. .

Corporate Identity
Turris approached me to request I create some designs for their corporate identity. Being in the insurance industry meant that an identity needed to convey strength, sturdiness and security, and so the idea of a castle turret was born. Initial concepts brought this into play much more strongly, but finally the use of the T with three sides was used to have a more subtle affect. Lastly, the blue colour scheme psychologically brings trust, dependency and strength.
